Blackberry Winter is a range of earth-friendly handmade paper and wool jewellery by Kent designer Helen Brooks.
Inspired by a desire to find a use for the everyday items we all throw away I set about turning the contents of my recycle box into beautiful things. Using a range of materials, from old newspapers to wool and vintage buttons, each piece is earth-friendly and completely unique.
Why the name?
The name Blackberry Winter comes from a term used when spring has sprung and the blackberries have sprouted but winter suddenly makes an unexpected return! This phenomenon of snow in springtime is therefore known as a “Blackberry Winter”.
